Telecolaboration

Telecommunication could prove useful for use in the ESL classroom. I think it works best when doing pronunciation exercises because students need to see the instructors mouth to see exactly how the words are being articulated. However, some students may feel uncomfortable with being on a video camera. It makes me feel self-conscious, so I can image the context of receiving language lessons would make me feel even more uncomfortable.Maybe it would take some practice to desensitize myself to the process. It could be a good way to make some extra dough in second life though.
